Aguilar Earns Two State Titles to Pace Irish

The Notre Dame Boys Varsity Swim and Dive team enjoyed a successful MHSAA DIII State Finals meet (held at the Holland Aquatics Center), placing 17th as a team with a score of 43 points and having a number of outstanding individual performances.

Senior Rudy Aguilar earned two individual state titles, taking the 200 Freestyle in a state-record time on 1:37.37 and the 100 Freestyle in a time of 45.71. Diver Alex Impellizzeri also made the finals round, placing 14th in the state with a score of 347.00.  

Additional state finals qualifiers for Notre Dame included Carl Wacker in the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke, divers Ryan Flaherty and Christopher Walter, the 200 Medley Relay of Aguilar, Wacker, Zach Vogel, and Thomas Robbins, and the 100 Freestyle Relay of Robbins, Impellizzeri, Vogel, and Aguilar.
