Irish Earn Big Home Win Over Davison

The Notre Dame Boys Varsity Basketball team defeated Davison 84-79 in a back-and-forth, extremely physical game Wednesday.  The aggressive Cardinals offense had the Irish in foul trouble throughout the game as they played the entire 4th quarter with Eli McLean, Josh Johnson and Dominic Famularo having 4 fouls each. However, Notre Dame persevered and won the game at the foul line by making 12 of 16 free throws in the fourth quarter.  The trio of Tariq Derrickson, Nick Dueweke, and Josh Johnson combined to score 64 of the team’s 84 points, led by Johnson with 22 points. Coach Whitney Robinson called this win “the best win by far so far this season”.
