Girls Bowlers Earn Top Finish at Oakland County

The Girls Varsity Bowling team made the cut at the 13th annual Oakland County Tournament, placing in the top-16 after 3 games and 4 Bakers. Jazyonne Daniels (190) and team captain Michaella Merlo (182) led the way for the Irish.

 Notre Dame was  paired with #4-seed Lakeland and the Irish took the first game by 17 pins. In the second game, the Irish lost by 5 pins but it was good enough to win totals and advance to the next round, where Notre Dame faced off with Waterford Mott The Corsairs took the first baker game before the Irish took the second.  

Notre Dame ultimately fell short on totals and ended the day placing in the top-8 teams in the County, the best placement in school history. Waterford Mott went on to win the tournament. Delivering strong performances for the Irish were Theresa Carrier, Sophia Shick, Makaella Caruth, Katie Spengler, Katharine Lawrence, and Deirdre Schiefer.
