Irish Capture 9th Boys Lacrosse CHSL Title

Lax champs picNotre Dame captured its 9th Catholic League Lacrosse Championship with dominating 13-4 win over Ann Arbor Father Gabriel Richard.  The Irish got off to a quick start with a goal from James Damman followed by two goals from Griffin Morris and Notre Dame would hold a  5-0 advantage at the end of the first quarter.  Gabriel Richard scored twice in the second quarter but NDP answered with three goals to lead 8-2 at halftime.  Notre Dame continued to build its lead in the second half and held a 12-2 late in the fourth quarter.  The Irish’s pressure defense created numerous turnovers which helped Notre Dame possess the ball for most of the game.  The Irish attack was led by Ryan Genord with four goals and Griffin Morris with three goals.  Ryan Connors made five saves in goal for Notre Dame, which now sits at 13-3 on the season.
