Irish Score Early, Often in Win Over DPSA

The Notre Dame Varsity Football team moved to 7-1 on the season following a 56-12 win over the Detroit Public Safety Academy.

Jacob Bendtsen threw three touchdown passes, one each to Ryan Cueny (five yards), Blake Bur (44 yards) and Ethan Johnson (two yards) and also added a 50 yard touchdown run. Connor Gaeschke carried eight times for 49 yards and a touchdown and returned an interception for a 33-yard score.

Clayton Bone scored on a 34-yard punt return and Daniel Heimbuch scored on a one-yard run to round out the offense for the Irish.

Defensively, both Bone and Trevor Tuttle finished with two interceptions and Bur, Gaeschke and Evan Noga picked up a sack each. The Irish close regular season play with a game at Troy Athens.
